Company
Privacy policy
What data we touch, what for, with whom and for how long. No fine print: if something is unclear, ask us.
Who handles your data
The data controller is DO Adventure, based in Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina. You can reach us about anything privacy-related through the contact form on this site.
This policy covers three different situations, and it is worth keeping them apart: when you visit this site, when you use the platform as a customer, and when your company loads its own passengers' data into the system.
When you visit this site
If you fill in the demo form or the contact form, we handle what you give us — name, work email, company, country, team size and the activities you run — for one purpose only: to set up the demo or to reply to you.
We do not use that data to send you marketing you did not ask for, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
The site uses no advertising or visitor-profiling cookies. If we ever add analytics, it will be with a tool that does not build individual profiles, and we will say so here before turning it on.
When you use the platform
As a user of an account, we handle your identification and contact details — name, email, role within the company — the technical data needed to keep your session working, and the activity logs that record who did what inside the system.
Activity logs are not employee surveillance: they exist so commercial and safety operations can be traced, which is exactly what the product is for.
If you use the app for guides and drivers, it can record location during an activity in progress when your company has that feature enabled. It is there for coordination and safety in the field, it is recorded in the context of the assigned departure, and it does not run when no activity is active.
Your passengers' data
When your company loads information about its customers and passengers into the platform, you are the controller of that data and we act as the processor: we process it on your instructions and to provide the service, not for our own purposes.
That means it is your company that needs a lawful basis for handling that information and a privacy policy of its own, and your company that answers its passengers' requests for access, correction or deletion. If a request like that reaches us directly, we pass it on to you.
For our part, we commit to treating that data confidentially, applying reasonable security measures, not disclosing it to anyone beyond the providers listed below, and returning or deleting it when our relationship ends.
What we use the information for
We handle data for these purposes and no others:
- Providing the service you signed up for and keeping it running.
- Supporting you and answering your questions.
- Handling sign-up, invoicing and subscription payments.
- Telling you about significant changes to the service, the prices or these policies.
- Protecting account security and detecting misuse.
- Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Legal basis
We handle customer and user data to perform the service contract between us, and to meet the legal obligations that apply to us.
What you leave in the forms on this site we handle on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us.
In Argentina, the Personal Data Protection Act (Law 25.326) and its implementing rules apply. For customers in other countries in the region we apply the same standard, and we also respect whatever local rules apply.
Who we share information with
We do not sell data. We share it only with the providers we need for the service to exist, and only as far as necessary:
- Cloud infrastructure and databases, where the application and the information are hosted.
- File storage, for the images and documents uploaded to the system.
- Subscription payment processing. Your card details are handled by the processor: we do not store them.
- Sending transactional email and system notifications.
- The electronic invoicing platform, when you have that module enabled, to issue receipts to the relevant tax authority.
- Public authorities, when a law or a court order requires it.
Where the data is held
The infrastructure we use may be hosted outside your country. When that is the case, we choose providers that offer an adequate level of protection and we sign the appropriate data processing agreements with them.
If you need to know exactly which jurisdiction your account's data is hosted in, write to us and we will tell you.
How long we keep it
While your account is active, we keep your information so you can use it: that is the point of the product.
After cancellation we keep the data for a limited period, so you can get it back if you return, and then we delete it permanently from our production systems. Backups rotate and expire on their own cycle.
Some information we are legally required to keep for longer — typically accounting and tax records. We keep that only for the required period and only for that purpose.
How we protect it
We use encryption in transit on all communications, role-based access control inside the platform, strict separation between each company's data, and encryption of the sensitive credentials we store — such as the ones for electronic invoicing.
Our team's access to customer data is limited to what is needed to provide support, and it is logged.
No measure is foolproof. If a security incident affected your data, we would notify you and we would inform the supervisory authority where required.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it if it is wrong, update it, delete it when it is no longer needed, and object to certain processing. You can also ask for a copy in a format you can take with you.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us through the contact form on this site, saying which one you want to exercise. We reply within the time limits set by the applicable rules and at no cost.
If you think we did not handle your request properly, in Argentina you can complain to the Agency for Access to Public Information, Argentina's data protection authority.
Minors
The service is aimed at companies, not at minors: we do not create accounts for them.
There may well be minors among the passengers on a departure, and your company may load their data. That information is handled with the same care as the rest and under your responsibility as the operator, including the responsibility to have consent from whoever holds parental authority where that is required.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything significant, we tell you by email or inside the platform before it takes effect, and we update the date at the top.
Earlier versions are available on request, so you can see what changed.
Contact
Any question, request or complaint about privacy comes in through the contact form on this site. A person reads it and answers you.
